Day1

Route(start-end) : Airport > Colombo (By Road)
Attractions : Colombo city tour | Railway Museum
Drive time : 1 ½ hours
Activities : Once you arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Sri Lanka, your chauffer guide will meet and you drive you to your hotel in Colombo for a chance to rest after your journey.

Later on enjoy a city tour and then get prepared for the upcoming trip with a visit to the railway museum in Maradana.

Day2-5

Route(start-end) : Colombo > Weligama (Train down the south coast)
Attractions : Train Ride
Drive time : 3 ½ hours
Activities : After breakfast, you will leave for Colombo Fort station to board the train to Weligama.

The journey south will give you glimpse of the city and its bustling suburbs and then you will begin to follow the coast line to Weligama. Here you can enjoy the stunning sea views and life in the South. Weligama is a beautiful resort town on the coast, where you can explore the deep south of the island and fall in love with its incomparable beaches.

Day6

Route(start-end) : Weligama > Tissamaharama (By Road)
Attractions : Game drive Yala National Park
Drive time : 3 hours
Activities : Explore the wonderful wilderness of this vast reserve. The largest national park in Sri Lanka,

its dry zone jungle is a hive of diversity where Leopard, Elephant, Sloth Bear, Sambur, Spotted deer and many other birds and beasts thrive.

Day7

Route(start-end) : Tissamaharama > Ella (By Road)
Attractions : Rawana Ella Waterfall | Ella Gap
Drive time : 4 hours
Activities : Leave the dry wilderness of the south and head for the hills.

Today you will leave the dry wilderness of the south and head for the lush plantations and waterfalls of the hills. The drive ascends up the stunning views of the mountain peaks and drops of thousands of feet. En route you will stop to visit the legendary Rawana Ella waterfall before continuing on to Ella.

Day8-9

Route(start-end) : Ella > Nuwara Eliya (By Road)
Attractions : Tea Plantations | Trekking at Horton Plains National Park
Drive time : 1 hour
Activities : After breakfast, you continue your drive up the mountains until you reach colonial hill country capital of Nuwara Eliya.

This is the tea capital of the country and you will be taken to a tea planation to understand the intricacies that go into creating Sri Lanka’s world famous tea.

Early the next morning you will depart to the Horton Plains National Park, where the site of ‘World’s End’, a vertical drop of 4000 feet awaits you.

Day10

Route(start-end) : Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya Station) > Peradeniya (Train – Observation carriage)
Attractions : Scenic Train Ride > Botanical Gardens Peradeniya > Temple of the Tooth > Cultural Show
Drive time : 3 hours
Activities : Leave for Nanu Oya to catch the ‘up country’ train for your scenic journey through the mountains to the historic city of Kandy.

In the morning you head to Nanu Oya to catch what is popularly known as the ‘up country’ train to head to the historic city of Kandy and most excitingly you will be able to enjoy the entire stunning view from the Observation Car. Peradeniya is an important junction in Sri Lanka’s railway system and you will leave the train here to visit the beautiful Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. More attractions await you in Kandy, with a visit to the sacred ‘temple of the Tooth’ and a cultural show to wrap up the day.

Day11-15

Route(start-end) : Kandy > Colombo (Expo Rail – Luxury Train) > Negombo (By Road)
Attractions : Scenic Train Ride | Colombo city tour | Shopping | Negombo City Tour | Beach Stay

Activities : From Kandy, you will board the Expo rail luxury train to Colombo. The view will change drastically,

and you will watch as you head down from the hills to the seaside town of Negombo. Enjoy the bustling, ever active town and all it has to offer, before settling down for a few days of relaxation on the beach.

Day16

Route(start-end) : Negombo > Airport
Drive time : ½ hour
Activities : After breakfast it’s time to bid goodbye to the charms of our tropical island, and leave for your return flight to the airport.
